Its vision is to harness the power of music to promote peacebuilding and positive social change in Africa.

Music for Peace encourages peaceful messages in music and promotes cultural musical and artistic exchanges between musicians in different conflict affected regions in Africa. It organises an annual Peace Music Competition and exchange visits by artists and musicians across the continent, as well as conducting peace music parades and workshops.
