Music in Peacebuilding;
we are building a community where music research
& practice unite. Continuing the legacy of Min-On,
our mission today is rooted in its rich history...

Min-On is established
in Tokyo, Japan

with the goal of nurturing cultural bonds through the universal language of music and the performing arts. Min-On Concert Association recognizes the critical role of musical culture for transcending borders and nationalities and raising the spirit of mutual respect and understanding.

By bringing together diverse talents from around the world, Min-On continues to create a platform for artistic collaboration and appreciation, bridging gaps and fostering a global community united through the beauty of music and artistic expression.

These fellows have organized global conferences, exhibitions, and publication initiatives, showcasing their commitment to examining the role of music-making in fostering relationships and healing social bonds.

Since 2014, MOMRI has collaborated with numerous scholars, activists, and musicians who are also working on Music in Peacebuilding.
