MOMRI Research Fellow Elaine Sandoval has been accepted into the 2025 Society for Ethnomusicology Public Ethnomusicology Mentoring Program. The program supports early-career ethnomusicologists pursuing public-facing work beyond conventional academic roles. Elaine looks forward to learning from colleagues in public ethnomusicology and the public humanities. She is excited for the opportunity to strengthen skills and understanding in community-facing collaborations, public communication, and resource development -- areas that align closely with MOMRI’s commitments to open access and global knowledge-sharing. Elaine is grateful to SEM for identifying and encouraging the development of the field in these areas.
